Motion is definitely a poet like no other. She is a true  pioneer in her field. She released her first book, Motion In Poetry, to rave reviews in 2002. She was co-founder of the monumental MasterPlan show on CIUT 89.5 and recipient of the Phenonomenal Woman Award for her contribution to Canada's Music scene. She has won CBC's very competitive National Poetry Faceoff, and has been writing rhymes since the tender age of twelve. Well established on the Toronto scene, she has performed with the Fugees, the All Stars, Public Enemy, The Rascalz, A Tribe Called Quest and Dream Warriors, plus many emerging rappers and poets from all over the city.
