d'bi.young is a jamaican-canadian dub poet, actor, and playwright who believes in artist activism. her literary works (poetry, essays and plays) have appeared in publications such as fireweed feminist quarterly, the canadian journal of poetry and critical writing, la vache enragee, da kink in my hair published play, ukula magazine, and testifyin': contemporary african canadian drama ll. she has self produced several dub albums to national and international acclaim in dub. d'bi.s first book of poetry art on black was recently released, as was a bilingual edition (english/spanish) of her award-winning play blood.claat. d'bi.young resides in toronto with her son moon.
