30th Consecutive Saturday Night Love, Aug.16th
Saturday Night Love at Ritz Caribbean Restaurant at 606 Yonge Street, Just north of Wellesley subway station.
Our teaching segment was, “Creativity as a career choice: An alternative to the 9-to-5,” by Ricardo McRae (www.ricardomcrae.com), an artist who has found a way to successfully combine art and business.
This 30th consecutive week of Saturday Night Love our featured performer was Valu David, a musician, singer and songwriter who has taken Toronto by storm with the release of his debut album "Valu David". He performed in many different languages and immensely impressed the crowd.
Our talk show topic was, "Is the education system or are parents teaching young people that professionals are more valuable than artists or entrepreneurs? What is this doing to our society?"
Our open mic theme was, “I’ve got my dream in my sights…you’ll see me in the future, centre stage, shining in the lights!”
